You made a great point when you weighed the costs of a professional inspection compared to a new unit. This really does sound a lot more affordable down the line since the furnace model we have is a very expensive one that we got years ago that still works fine. If this breaks down, replacing it could really cost a fortune, so I'll take your advice and ask a heating unit expert to do some inspections and maintenance for us.
